Career Connections: Dr. Christie Chiu from Sutter Hill Ventures

Christie completed her graduate work at Harvard University with Markus Greiner, where she was part of the team that built a Fermi gas microscope and probed the Hubbard model with ultracold lithium atoms in an optical lattice. Her interests in quantum simulation, along with a curiosity about other hardware platforms, led her to a postdoc at Princeton with Andrew Houck. There, she explored novel lattice geometries to study condensed matter systems with superconducting circuits. Now at Sutter Hill Ventures, Christie focuses on building technology companies from the ground up.
