Bio

I am a graduate student at University of Maryland. I am interested in collective light-matter interaction in one-dimensional systems. Specifically, I am studying long-distance atom-atom interaction using Rb85 atoms coupled to an optical nanofiber, which is known to show superduperradiance and atom-photon bound states. In the past, my colleagues and I experimentally demonstrated that vacuum-induced quantum beats can be collectively enhanced by increasing the number of atoms and theoretically studied the limit of collective vacuum-induced quantum beats when the atoms are separated more than the coherence length of the emitted photons.
