Bio

Emily Mercurio oversees innovation, coordination, and day-to-day operation of quantum computing workforce development, training, education, and outreach activities. Emily has previously served as a lecturer at Cornell University where she designed and taught higher education curriculum, and innovated STEM, arts, and women’s empowerment education and outreach programs at the Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital.

    Career Connections is a new RQS program that invites experts from industry, government, and academia to share their career pathways and insights with graduate students and postdocs. Developed by the Student-Postdoc Council, the program gives junior researchers the chance to network, get advice, and learn from the pathways of experienced professionals in quantum science.
