Bio
Giulia Semeghini is an assistant professor of applied physics at Harvard University. Her group investigates highly entangled phases of matter to address open questions in condensed matter, high-energy physics, and chemistry, with the ultimate goal of developing efficient protocols for quantum information processing. To achieve these objectives, her team utilizes a quantum platform based on programmable atom arrays featuring a mixture of alkali and alkaline-earth atoms. Semeghini received her Ph.D. from the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS) at the University of Florence.
