Bio
Peter is a theorist working on the intersection of many-body physics and quantum information. He leverages quantum information theory to characterize quantum states of matter and explore their applications in quantum information processing. His research topics include many-body entanglement, topological phases, quantum dynamics, and state-preparation protocols in near-term quantum devices. Currently, his research is driven by two key questions: (i) What many-body states of matter can be efficiently prepared with mid-circuit measurements and unitary feedback? (ii) Can long-range entanglement and universal quantum phenomena persist in noisy or thermal environments?
He received his PhD from the University of California San Diego in 2021, and was a postdoctoral researcher at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics from 2021 to 2024.
